Dear Earth Scientists,
It would be a great honor to welcome your participation in the 12th Turkey Quaternary Symposium (TURQUA-2026), which will be held on 7–9 December 2026 at the ITU Eurasia Institute of Earth Sciences under the theme “Future in the Light of the Past: Paleoclimate, Vegetation, Humans, and Natural Disasters.”
The symposium aims to bring together researchers working in the field of Quaternary science, to foster scientific exchange through invited and contributed talks, and to organize workshops and field excursions on current topics. We sincerely thank you in advance for your support and would be delighted by your participation.
We would like to invite you to participate in the 12th TURQUA in Istanbul where the continents meet. We hope to see you all in Istanbul.

There will be oral and video-poster presentations in the meeting.
- Oral presentations should not exceed 12 minutes and + 3 minutes for questions-answers.
- Poster presentations will be maximum in A0 portrait size, and it should be presented in-person within the conference.
* In order to facilitate understanding for international participants, the presentation slides are recommended to be prepared in English.
* Participation in symposiums, workshops, and the course is free for all speakers and attendees.
